Where: MDL Holiday Cinemas (100 Baughman’s Lane).
When: Every Wednesday and Thursday morning at 10 through the summer.
Cost: $1 admission (cash only); Kids’ Paks ($3.75) include candy, drink, and popcorn.

3 Rewards for Kids with Good 2009 Year-End Report Cards

Rita’s Ice: Kids bring their year-end report card to Rita’s by June 30. If they have at least one A (or equivalent grade), they will receive a free Rita’s Italian ice.
BestBuy of Frederick: Starting tomorrow (6/17) and running for about a month, kids bring in their year-end report card to BestBuy and get a raffle ticket for every A. At the end of the raffle period, 11 tickets will be drawn. At that time, 10 kids will win $100 cash, and 1 kid will win a Mac Book Pro.
Chuck E. Cheese: Kids who bring in their year-end report card will receive free tokens for good grades. Unsure what the cut-off is for a grade to be deemed “good.” Valid only with a food purchase. Up to 15 tokens maximum per child. All grading systems accepted.

Barnes & Noble 2009 Summer Reading Program

Kids in grades 1-6 can earn a free book when they read eight books this summer.

Here’s how:

They read any eight books.
They describe their favorite part of each book on a Summer Reading Journal. A parent/guardian signs the journal when it’s complete. A Spanish-language Reading Journal is also available.
They bring their completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 26th & September 7th, 2009, and receive a coupon for a free book (from a list of paperback titles).

NOTE: Titles of available free books will be listed on the coupon.

REG Free Family Film Festival Beginning June 2009!

When school’s out, kids around the country visit selected Regal theatres for the Free Family Film Festival. It’s a fun-filled nine weeks of movies for kids and parents. Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it’s FREE!

Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theatre capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.

Tickets for our 2009 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.
