Learn how pretzels (and other snacks) are made at the Snyder’s of Hanover factory (1350 York Street, Hanover, PA.). Tours are available by reservation only, Tuesday-Thursday: 10am; 11am; or 1pm. Length of tour: one hour. After the tour, stop by the factory store to snack on free samples of freshly-made pretzels and other snacks.

While you’re in Hanover, you might as well swing by the Utz Potato Chip factory (900 High Street, Hanover, PA) and learn how they make potato chips. These are self-paced tours, and no reservations are required. Daily tours: Monday-Thursday, 8 to 4pm. They’re also open some Fridays.
