It’s official: On Monday, December 17, a full-service Starbucks is opening in the Middletown Safeway. If you’ve ever wanted to work as a Starbucks barista, here’s your chance!
Starbucks will be open the same hours as Safeway: 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week.
I like Starbucks, so I welcome their presence in Middletown. I might feel otherwise had The Main Cup not diversified to the point that coffee is no longer their primary focus. As things stand now, however, both businesses should thrive.

I think the only part that will hurt Main Cup is the hours. I just wonder how many people would stop there is it was open at 5 am.
