Pick Your Own Pesticide-Free Blueberries

Although you can pick your own blueberries at several local farms, Frog Eye Farm is the only such farm I know of that doesn’t use any pesticides. My kids and I picked over 15 pounds of blueberries there last summer and froze most of them. We just finished our last bag a few weeks ago, so this is perfect timing for us.

Frog Eye Farm will be open every day from 8 to 5 this summer (not just weekends).

Free Coffee/Tea this Summer at Baltimore Coffee & Tea

Baltimore coffee and tea Baltimore Coffee & Tea’s Free in Frederick program is back this summer–scaled back a bit, but still a great program.

How it works:

From your phone, text Java Frederick to 313131.

This will automatically enroll you in the company’s text message list.

Then, at least once a week throughout the summer–and maybe more, you never know–they will send a message that says TODAY is FREE! Just bring your phone with you to the store any time that day (and that day only), show them the message and receive a free coffee or tea, hot or iced, any size.

You must show them the text on your phone, there’s one drink per person, and it’s valid in Frederick only.

2 Rewards for Kids with Good 2011 Year-End Report Cards

Rita’s Ice: Kids bring their year-end report card to Rita’s by June 30. If they have at least one A (or equivalent grade), they will receive a free Rita’s Italian ice.
Chuck E. Cheese: Kids bring in their year-end report card and receive 15 free tokens for good grades (at least one A, I think). All grading systems accepted.
